We went to Rubjerg Knude Fyr (Rubjerg lighthouse) for an event where there were multiple musicians playing. The lighthouse is located on a sand dune and has been recently moved by a local man! He deconstructed it and reconstructed it about 70 yeards away, as the sands were moving and would soon leave the lighthouse.
It was fantastic – it is only a short bus trip away from Helene’s house. There were a few singer-songwriters, an acapella group and more. A graphic artist put up a projection on the side of the lighthouse! It happened just after the sunset, which was fantastic.
We took a ride on a trailer being pulled by a tractor over some fields to the lighthouse, where we only had to walk up one hill. When we arrived, Helene checked with me that I was able before we climbed to the top of the lighthouse (on the inside of course, we’re not Spider-Man!). We then headed back down and found a good seat to both see the coming sunset and to watch the performers. Helene had botten a Danish open-faced sandwich (Smorrebrod)
